About Us

Cutthroat Overlanding was built from a passion for fly fishing, overlanding, and spending time in wild places. For the past eight years, founder Austin Alexander has worked as a professional fly-fishing guide, leading multi-day overland trips into remote mountain ranges across the state of Utah. Those experiences shaped a belief that vehicles aren’t just for travel—they’re tools for accessing solitude, adventure, and meaningful time outdoors.

Overlanding became a natural extension of that lifestyle. Long dirt roads, remote camps, early mornings, and earned access to rivers and mountains revealed a gap in the market: overlanding equipment that was functional, durable, and priced for people who actually use their gear—not just display it.

Cutthroat Overlanding was created to fill that gap. We build modular aluminum truck caps and overlanding equipment designed for real-world use. Our products are made to fit specific truck models, withstand harsh conditions, and support extended travel into remote terrain. Every design choice is guided by time spent in the field, not trends.

Our mission is simple: build high-quality overlanding gear that outdoorsmen can trust on their own trucks—at a price that makes sense. Whether you’re a guide, angler, hunter, or weekend explorer, Cutthroat Overlanding exists to help you go farther, stay longer, and spend more time where it matters.

Cutthroat Overlanding is more than a brand.

It’s a lifestyle centered on nature, adventure, and solitude—a way to immerse yourself in wild places and discover more about yourself when the road ends.
